I am writing up my family history and have found a connection to The Star public house (now closed). Does anyone remember this establishment whilst open - or any of the owners/landlords or their families?

The Star was managed by distant cousins of mine back in the 40s/50 not sure of the exact years.

WalterBayford (1911 - 1972) and is wife Dot in partnership with Charles and Alexander Clarke.

Their decendants now live in Canada.

I noticed your request on this website for information regarding The Star Public House. I can provide you with
information as my grandparents and my husbands parents were both landlords of The Star. My Grandparents ran it around the late 50's and my husbands parents ran it around 1966. So if you would like more information, let me know. I live in Canada and can get that information from my parent.
